Kidnapped at knifepoint in the middle of the night, healer Brenna Grant is spirited across the Highlands to heal a chieftain who’s near death. The last thing she expects is for her patient to be a handsome laird who steals her heart. Unable to deny him—or anyone who needs her talents as a healer—she travels to his clan to treat a mysterious invalid.
Quade Ramsay awakens to find a beautiful healer at his bedside. He is powerless to fight his attraction to the lass who saved his life, but he’s vowed never to fall in love again. Convinced a family curse hangs over his head, he fights his feelings for Brenna. But the very woman he is determined to stay away from might be the only one who can save his young daughter. Will he let the beautiful healer mend his own broken heart?

I have read this whole series and each and every one of them was really good, but I must say this was one of the best of the series. I always enjoy and lean toward the books that the h is a healer it is just one of my favorite story lines. In Healing the Highlanders Heart i loved the way the h went about finding what was wrong. There was a lot romance, secrets, some laughter and lots of love. I recommend this whole series and of course this book. They don't have to be read in order but as with any series the story's are made even better by knowing where the characters history/family.
Let's just say that this book is nothing compared to the first in the Grant Series. Even though both stories are absolutely emotional, they carry completely different plots & drama. If you have a heart, this will definitely hit all the soft spots. I love how this author coordinates her stories, the characters are believable and very lovable. From the starting to the end, you will be glued to your kindle. This is a book you do not want to stop reading. I really love the innocence of the children, I admire and respect the dad for being such a sweet hearted man and good father. The heroine is absolutely wonderful in all aspect, she's a woman to be admired and worship, and I love how she takes her role as the healer seriously and do not get side track by the hero. She's definitely on top of things! I do not want to go in to details and ruin this story but everyone who reads this book will definitely be affected. Although, I am in the healthcare industry, I hope I never see things that are so detailed in this book, my heart is too soft and I probably won't be of any help seeing people suffering : ( this book and the emotions behind the story just made me want to curl up and ball my eyes out. I highly recommend this book to any and everyone! I beg you to give this author a chance and see how marvelous her work is. I guarantee you will not be disappointed. I cannot wait to see what's next in store in the Grant Series! Happy reading all! : )
