I’ve received several emails and messages from panicked readers. Why? Because I’ve mentioned that Book 8, Connor’s story, will be the end of The Band of Cousins.
IT’S NOT THE END OF THE GRANTS AND RAMSAYS!
Never! I have so many more stories I can tell about them that I can’t even decide which one is next, but just know that I will continue to write about these clans. There are so many wonderful characters left: Kenzie, Jennet, Elizabeth, Brigid, Padraig, Elyse, and the list goes on. I could even tell Steenie’s story sometime in the future, though he’s a bit young so don’t look for that soon. I assure you that I will return to add stories to the clan, possibly as different duets or trilogies, although I can’t say exactly when.
I may choose to jump forward in time to write the trio’s story before I return to the Grants in the 1280s. You recall the three Grant heirs born on the same day—Alasdair, Elshander, and Alick—right? If not, make sure you read Highland Lies. The epic story of their birth is in the epilogue in that book.
But back to the present. Yes, I’m finishing the Band of Cousins with the following two books:
#7 Gregor’s story- will be released on June 13th
#8 Connor’s story -to be released by mid-July
These are the only two books this year that I’m certain about at the moment, although I plan on having at least two more releases.
I’m particularly excited about Connor’s story because I finally have the opportunity to finish a series. I plan to make it an epic conclusion, and I hope it will be one you’ll wish to read over and over again. It will be the culmination of all the work the cousins have done to put an end to the notorious Channel of Dubh. Yep, you’ll finally find out who the ringleaders are.
Here are the reasons I’m sure you’ll love Connor’s story:
- He is Alex’s son, so expect to see both his mother and father involved in his happiness.
- Logan Ramsay was beaten by men from the Channel, but don’t despair, he’ll come back with a vengeance!
- Expect to see a powerful love story—yes, this one will have more romantic scenes than my usual.
- Expect to see a massive group of warriors gather together to support the cousins.
- Expect the return of the couples from the first seven books in the series: David and Anna, Will and Maggie, Braden and Cairstine, Roddy and Rose, Daniel and Constance, Gavin and Merewen, Gregor and Linet.
- A villain you’ll love to hate.
- And more family dynamics.
It will be so much fun to see the Band put an end to the Channel of Dubh once and for all!
I hope you’ll read it to enjoy the conclusion with me.
